Scheduled cloud backups to TallyDrive
From TallyPrime Release 7.0, TallyDrive (TallyPrime Drive) backs up company data to secure cloud storage on a daily, weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule, even when TallyPrime isn’t running.
Encrypted, versioned backups
Backups on TallyDrive can be encrypted with a backup password and recovery key, and restored by choosing the backup version by date and time.
Local backups as a second copy
Take one-off or scheduled backups to a local drive as well, so there is a copy alongside the cloud.
TallyVault encryption
A TallyVault password encrypts the company and all its transactions, including the company name. Keep it safe: a lost TallyVault password cannot be recovered.
User roles and access rights
Give each user only the access they need, from full access down to create, alter, display or print, with limits on back-dated entries and password expiry.
Server-level control for many users
TallyPrime Server adds secured data access, a view of who is logged in and what they are doing, and the ability to disconnect a user.

Frequently asked questions
TallyDrive, also called TallyPrime Drive, is secure cloud storage for TallyPrime backups, introduced in TallyPrime Release 7.0. Backups can run on a schedule even when TallyPrime is closed, and can be encrypted with a backup password and recovery key.
It cannot be recovered, and without it the company data can’t be opened. Decide who holds the password before you turn TallyVault on, and keep it somewhere safe.
Yes. TallyPrime’s user access controls can restrict changes to back-dated entries by a number of days or a cut-off date, and Powerpack adds deletion, cancel, print and export control with audit reasons.
