What is VFD?
VFD (Virtual Fiscal Device) is a new-generation solution that removes the need for a physical EFD or intermediaries. It connects directly to the TRA portal to fetch all the details needed to issue a valid invoice in Tanzania. It can be used with POS systems or management software for billing, so taxpayers send invoices directly to the TRA without a physical EFD.
How VFD works
VFD automates sending electronic invoices to the TRA, and receiving the TRA’s acknowledgement that each invoice has been validated. It can be used from any smart device with internet access: a laptop, a desktop or a mobile phone.
